Hello Families,
We are looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow. Come on out and enjoy the student’s performance and stay for lunch. Following lunch, the Peacelander Pathfinder Club is organizing a hike up Old Baldy which you are invited to join. Come on out!
Here are a few reminders for this weekend and coming week:
- Sat May 2 – Program starts at 11 am, participating students need to arrive at 10:45. Families are invited to the program, to lunch afterwards, and to a hike up Baldy following lunch.
- Sun May 3 – Hot lunch orders due
- Mon May 4 – Mom’s Pantry orders due

- Make a plan on how to show appreciation for your child’s teacher(s) on May 5. A note or small gesture can go a long way to encourage our staff.
Good to Know
- We have openings for Education Assistant (full-time) and Janitor (part-time/casual) for next school year. If you are interested, or know someone who may be interested, please send a resume to the office or Mrs. Atherton.
- Our Early Learning Program registration is now open for the 26/27 school year. Families on our waiting list have the first choice of openings and they will receive detailed information on Monday.
- The Ministry of Child & Family Development is looking for Foster Caregivers. Please see the attachment for more information.

- For the support of our grad class: fundraiser participation, Disher family transporting hoodies, staff organization and guidance.

- Senior Flag Football team member parents – Please ensure the permission and payment is returned as soon as possible.
Good to Know
- Education Sabbath is happening the morning of May 2. The program will start at 11 am and be about an hour. All Kindergarten to Gr 6 students, Drama, and Music students will be performing. A few other students will also have roles. Performing is part of the curriculum and this is a great time to see our students shine. Families are invited to the program and to lunch afterwards (food is provided).
Shout Outs
- To all of the parents and students who came out to the Student-Led Parent Teacher Interviews. We are proud of our students and their conversations about their learning, as well as the support we felt from the parents for us as a school as well as the education of the students. Thank you very much!
- To our Student Association who led out in a great Easter program for our students! They planned a fun, meaningful activity and put great effort into pulling it off. We also appreciate Miss McKay in her guidance as the staff sponsor for the group.

No Busses Today
Families,
There are no busses again this morning. We are highly encouraging students to do the work that will be put together by teachers. We have missed many days and not learning on these days will be having an impact on future success.
If you have a ride for your child(ren) to school, you are welcome to bring them, particularly for those who will struggle to accomplish the learning tasks at home. There will be teachers and staff there to support learning.
If working at home, the same document links as sent out previously will be used.

School feels a little topsy turvy coming back from break into a short week and a day of no busses. I’ll make this a short email as well!

Good to Know
- Thank you to all who have re-registered for next school year. Most of our students will be returning and we look forward to welcoming a good-size Kindergarten class as well as a few others throughout the grade levels. Our final staffing plans are being put in place to ensure students are well-supported and that our program goes well!

No Busses Today (Thurs)
Hello Families,
There are no busses today, Thursday April 2. Because of this, we will not have regular classes. However, there are still learning expectations for the day. There will be at least some teachers and staff at school so if you have a ride for your children, they are welcome at school today.
Learning expectations will be posted on the same document links as used last time. A reminder email with the links will be sent out to parents and students Gr 7-12. The documents will be updated as soon as possible through the early part of the morning.
Thank you for doing your best to ensure learning still happens even with the transportation change.
Today – Bus Time Change
Our ski day ended early due to an issue with the t-bar at the hill so the bus will be arriving at the IGA parking lot about 3:30 pm this afternoon. Our apologies for the change and our thanks for your understanding.

Spring break is drawing near and the weather is trying to make us think it’s spring too (just don’t look at the forecast). We will do our best to make the last week of learning before the break count well! Enjoy the warmer weather for the weekend and we’ll see everyone back on Monday!

- Sun Mar 8 – Movie Fundraiser for our grad class. Come enjoy Zootopia at 2 pm and invite friends! Doors open at 1:15.
- Fri Mar 13 – Bear Mtn Ski Day – Our bus will pick students up outside of Windrem, bring them to PCS, and then to the ski hill. Bus will return to IGA for 4:30 pm.
- Mar 16-27 – Spring Break!

These verses remind us that we are guided, cared for and restored.
No Busses
Good morning, there are no busses this morning. There is still learning for students to accomplish today to stay on track. Please watch for the email with links for each grade.
If you would like to drive your child(ren) to school, there will be adults there to help them accomplish their learning. Some upper grade Math classes will be held by video for those who are able to access that way.
