Who Can Attend
Peace Christian School accepts students of all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds. We welcome application from all students who wish to have a positive learning environment and the opportunity to grow in academics and in Christian character.
Please consider our policies and whether these meet your expectations. All students who are willing to support the policies of the school are encouraged to apply. Each student has the freedom to accept or reject the school standards. Student behaviour that indicates a rejection of these standards may indicate that the student needs to consider alternatives to our school as it is not our purpose to act as a reformatory school.
Decision for admission of each student is completed by the school board.
Cost to Attend
Financial
Program costs to our families are minimal as the school is a ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Families who pay prior to May 15 will receive priority placement and a slight discount. Early registration enables us to better prepare for staffing needs for the following year. Costs (non-refundable) for the 2022/23 school year are:
- $295 for K-5
- $340 for 6-9
- $375 for 10-12
K-6 cost includes most school supplies. Supplies (other than personal items; i.e.: inside shoes, water bottle) will be provided by the school. Please see our school supply list for Grades 7-12.
We encourage additional financial donations to our program. This is up to the individual family and is kept confidential, so will not impact the program for any particular student. As a Group 1 Independent School, we receive 50% of the government funding that public schools receive. We rely on donations and fundraising to make up the difference to offer our program at a low cost to all families.
We are a registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency. As such, you will receive a yearly tax deductible receipt for donations given to our program. You may also receive a tax-deductible receipt for a portion of other payments for your student to attend our program. More information about payment options are in our Giving page.
Time & Energy
Parent support is essential to keep our program going. The more parents we have investing time, energy, and funds toward our program, the more opportunities our students will have.
We value our parents because they support in attitude and action. We have a supportive Parent Committee and encourage all parents to be involved in the group and their initiatives as much as possible, to keep our program a great learning environment for our children.
