Hello Families,
As teachers take today to do professional learning and work, we hope our students (and maybe our families?) enjoy the long weekend.
We loved meeting with many of you this past week. There were questions answered, information given, and positive feedback to buoy our spirits.
As winter continues to take over, we wish you the best on this wet, overcast day.
Mrs. Atherton

Good to Know
- Field trips during school hours are a required part of our program. We do our best to provide a variety of experiences across our grades to enhance learning. The costs are kept minimal with donations of time, bussing, and grant funding. We are grateful to the Outdoor Boreal School for applying for grants and offering several presentations and field trip opportunities to our students this school year. We are also grateful to the Bunker family with the support of bussing for multiple trips.
- We are proud of our Junior Flag Football team and the way they played at their recent tournament. They did well and most importantly, showed good sportsmanship.
- For those who have yet to vote, the Federation of Independent Schools (FISA) sent us information they attempted to gather from the various political parties in BC regarding education. Please see the attachment for more information.
Shout Outs
- To all the parents that came out to our parent-teacher conferences! We are a team working together for the success of your children and we really appreciate you taking the time to come and converse with us.
- To Albert Nichols and Norman Bunker for doing a fall cleanup dump run for PCS.
- To Mrs. Bunker for driving the bus for our Jr Football Tournament and to Jessica Neumann and Sandra Vasquez as parent volunteers and our staff coaches: Mr. Atherton, Miss V and Mr. Warner.
- To the curling club for hosting our Gr 5/6 class and showing them the basics of curling this week.
- To our teachers for getting our students outside for learning. We have had many classes outside during this relatively good weather. We are grateful for the beautiful setting our school has to facilitate this.

Verse of the Week – Galatians 6:9-10
"So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone…"
This verse reminds us to keep doing good–it will bear fruit in time.
