New Payment Options

Dear Parents,

Peace Christian School is delighted to announce that we are modernizing our billing and payments infrastructure by partnering up with TUIO, a leading online platform for childcare organizations.

Effective January 15, 2019 our invoices will be generated through TUIO, and parents will be able to access them on their dedicated online space at any time. It will also be possible to pay the invoices online via eCheck (electronic cheque, similar to preauthorized debit) or credit card. For the time being, we will also continue to accept cash and paper cheques.

PCS Parent Committee programs (hot lunch, milk, fundraisers) will not currently be participating in this program.

What is TUIO?

TUIO is a billing and payment app used by day care centers, preschools and schools all across Canada.

Using TUIO provides the following benefits to families:

· Electronic alternatives to cash & cheques (direct debit & credit cards)

· Access invoices and make payments any time

· Emailed invoice notifications

· Responsive and friendly support team

How will this work?

You will receive an activation email (one per family) from TUIO within 24h, which will contain instructions to set your account password. If you do not receive any email within that time frame, please send a note to support@tuiopay.com to ensure that they have the correct email address on file. Once your account is activated, you will be able to change the name and email address on the account if necessary. You will also be able to set up your payment instructions for your next upcoming invoice(s). For detailed instructions to activate and set up your account under 5 minutes, visit https://tuiopay.com/parent-support/.

Please note: there is a $0.35 + 3.5% service fee to pay by credit card. Paying through your bank account is free.

Who will be processing my payments?

When it comes to processing payments, TUIO has partnered with the industry top players, including Versapay (publicly traded Canadian corporation, processes over $1 billion annually), PsiGate (15 years of experience, a wholly owned subsidiary of Peoples Payment Solutions, part of Peoples Group, a group with $7 billion of assets under management), and TD Canada Trust. Due to their extensive presence in the payment processing industry, it is highly likely that you have already experienced with any or all of those providers, sometimes without knowing it.

Where will my data be stored?

For data storage, TUIO works with the industry leader AWS (Amazon Web Services), which is Amazon’s branch for server infrastructure. AWS is used by organizations such as Netflix, the CIA, and many Fortune 500 companies. As an additional benefit, all of TUIO’s data is stored in Canada.

We hope many of you will find this a helpful addition to our school administration. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
