Friday Flash

Hello Families,

Old man winter is starting to show his face a little more recently. We hope your furnace works well and that you can find enjoyment in some Christmas lights this weekend!

We continue to work hard with the students at school and encourage you to continue the support at home to ensure academics are completed and they stay on track.

Have a great weekend!
Kristin

To Do

  • Hot lunch volunteers – Thank you for volunteering! Please check the schedule sent home to make sure you know what days you’re on and let us know asap if there’s a certain day that doesn’t work for you so we can find a replacement.

Good to Know

  • Christmas Mini’s – Unfortunately, we don’t have enough families signed up for Christmas mini’s so we will have to cancel them for this year. We apologize to the families that did sign up and thank you for your support!

Shout Outs

  • To Mrs Kayla Henry and all her helpers for running a successful Scholastic Book Fair! Helpers included Jenn Hook, Tara Rodenbush, Rose Ann Fontaine, Marilou Barredo, Lianna Hunter, Dejrah & Theo Chingee-Hunter, and Stacy Siller. And a big thank you to all the shoppers who helped us reach our goal!! The funds will go to support our classrooms and we hope all the treasures are well enjoyed at home.
  • To all the parents who came in for parent teacher conferences! We appreciate speaking with you and working together with you for the success of your child(ren).

Resources

  • MyEd BC – Did you know you can see your child’s current grades and missing assignments online? Check on how they are doing whenever you think of it! If you’re unsure how to login, please let us know and we will assist you in getting in.
  • Online Calendar – Unsure of when something is happening? Check out our online calendar. It is accurate for our current plans although occasionally something does change as necessary as the year progresses.

Verse of the Week – Micah 6:8

"O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."

This verse reminds us that living justly and humbly brings harmony to our relationships.
