Friday Flash

Hello Families,
Wow! Just one full week of school remains followed by a couple of fun days. We are celebrating our graduate this coming week and the promise of a bright future. There is a lot happening between now and the end of school so please take note of the items below. Wishing each one a great weekend!
Mrs. Atherton

This Coming Week

  • Wed Jun 19 – Regular classes followed by yearbook signing in the afternoon
  • Thu Jun 20 –

Bus to Dawson will leave from outside Windrem Elementary. Please drop-off from 8:15-8:20. Bus will be back by 2:45 pm. We are still looking for a few parent volunteers to join for student safety.

  • Fri Jun 21

Our elementary students and some of our Gr 7-12 students will be attending Aboriginal Day activities at Spirit Park. Please pick these students up at Spirit Park at 2:30 pm (the students remaining at school will be bussed to Windrem as per normal).

Last Days of School

  • Mon Jun 24 – Awards at 9:00 am(bussing is regular). We encourage you (and/or other family members) to attend if possible. The program starts with elementary students, with high school to follow. The full program is expected to be about 2 hours. Lunch for students is provided by our parent committee with activities to follow.
  • Tue Jun 25 – Moberly Lake Day

Bus will leave from Windrem at 8:30 am and then plan to be back at Windrem for 12:30 pm.

Looking Ahead

  • A great summer break 🙂
  • Thu Aug 29 – Orientation Day for all students
  • Tue Sep 3 – First day of school

To Do

  • Please ensure the two permission forms are signed and returned for the field trips (one went home a week or so ago and the other today).

Good to Know

  • Several of our families have lost loved ones recently. Our hearts go out to the Cardinal, Sawchuk and Bremner families as they grieve their loved ones. We know that God cares through our difficulties and can provide comfort and hope though the days are hard.

Shout Outs

  • To our parent committee for providing a staff appreciation lunch for us. It was lovely and encouraged us in our roles at school.
  • To Jerson Balane and Norm Bunker for doing some maintenance to our building
