Our Early Childhood Program has open enrollment throughout the school year on a month-to-month basis as space allows. Any child 30 months to 5 years old is eligible to attend one of our two classes. We provide structured and unstructured play and activities for all areas of child development.

Program Description

The Peace Christian School program is for children age 30 months to 5 years old at the school’s location of 6189 Dokkie School Road just outside Chetwynd, BC.  This program is intended to be an extension of our regular school programming, which is preparing children to be caring, capable citizens.  As a Seventh-day Adventist school, we welcome students from all faiths and cultural backgrounds.  We desire to be a school where every child is valued and loved, regardless of race, gender, religion or socio-economic status.

We strive to create different learning experiences or opportunities for children to grow holistically: physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually.  We specifically use curriculum to target the whole child and we provide play-based learning experiences for the children in our program.

Admission

Procedure

Children must be 30 months to age 5 in order to be admitted in the program.

1. The program manager will review the program policies and ensure that parent fully understands and is comfortable with the goals of the program.

2. Parents must fill out the registration forms and sign the consent forms at this time.

3. Children may not be left in our care until all forms have been completed and submitted to the school office.

Fees

A non-refundable registration fee of $75 is required to confirm your child’s spot in the program when you enroll.

Billing will be on a month to month basis, payable by the 15th of the month prior.  Fees for the program are:

Mon/Wed/Fri class: $315/month; with government subsidy, families pay $142/month
Tues/Thurs class: $210/month; with government subsidy, families pay $95/month

The cost is the same for every child, whether a child uses the selected service every day of the month or not.  If fees are not paid on time, your child’s spot in the program will be given to another family waiting to enroll.

We also provide paperwork and instructions so families can apply for additional government subsidy to assist with the costs. The amount provided is dependent on family income levels.
